well, with storm sweeping the midwest, and us getting poured on today, the chances of getting down the track tonight are slim and none, so I am going to move forward with the mods. The parts are piling up, and I am running out of room in my trailer. So here is whats going on this weekend:Stainless manifolds and Precision TA49 turbo
Oversized factory location interfooler. This one has 23 rows vs 15 from the factory also 2.5" thick vs 2"
Here is the intercooler scoop. Pulls air from under the bumper and keep air from the radiator off of it.
 Not pictured, but in hand:
Aluminum charge pipes, new silicone couplers, and t-bolt clamps.
2.5" crossover pipe for headers
3" stainless downpipe
TurboTweaks.com chip for the new turbo and intercooler to let me run up to 25psi

i have been told by a guy here locally that has built several TR's to expect mid 400WHP and mid 500wtq with 93 octane and the meth injection at 25psisupposedly this is the "recipe" for 11's. I guess time will tell. I have a feeling the trans is going to give up before I see 11's. Just a hunch  which won't hurt my feelings at all, it will give me the opportunity to add a trans brake.

Damn. I was thinking 450whp, but not that much TQ.  I can't see the trans lasting with not only that much TQ, but off the launch for 11's. How about the rear end?

here is a similarly equipped car Jimmy My+bolt-on+(stock+un-opened+engine)+Grand+National
rear end should be fine. it has been upgraded with Moser axles. Its the same rear end thats used in LS based F-bodies.

for sure.My paps and I went back and forth on the El Camino build, ended up with a tremec 5spd just because the track time is limited. More of s street cruiser.

 at least the new turbo is in, and the car is pulling like a mofo. a radiator hose trying to mate with an idler pulley has caused a minor setback

yeah, it was very minor. I was up and running in no time, although, the same problem happened again shortly after the first fix. Some quick jerry rigging got the hose up out of harms way and I have ordered a hard coolant pipe from the same company I have gotten all my other parts from. Hopefully it will be here before the rain

nice ride, i would've went 17x10 or 10.5 and ran 295 at least. Looks like you got a lot of room to play with.

there really isn't anymore room to play with. I only have about an 1/8" clearance on the insides
