    **Official AMSOIL Products Thread**

How many of you all have heard of Amsoil before?

I am technically a "dealer" through them (started as wanting to be a preferred customer, etc., and just escalated from there) and I wanted to see if there was any interest in finding out about the products or needing to purchase some stuff.

Because we all halfway know each other around here (on the interweb anyway), I just wanted to see if anyone needed some awesome products at BELOW retail prices. There really isn't a ton for me to gain by doing so, but the more folks that I can help out by doing so, the more it makes the money I spent on this deal worth it. The company holds a warranty on its products, even products like their Signature Series oil that has a recommended 35,000 OR 1 year oil life!

The products we are talking about are some of the best on the market, if not undoubtedly the best out there, as I'm sure some of you may have heard. We are talking about: motor oil, diesel oil, motorcycle oil, powersports oil (jet ski, boats, 4-wheelers, etc.), gear lubes, transmission fluid, hydraulic oil, compressor oil, filter (air and oil), by-pass systems, fuel additives, maintenance items, TRICO wiper blades, NGK spark plugs and wires, and more.

The engine oils are undoubtedly probably the best out there. They are associated with the "Million Mile" Chevrolet pickup (350ci) that used this oil with recommended oil change intervals and finally broke a valve stem at something like 960,000+ miles (engine was disassembled and analyzed by a 3rd party - I have the literature and pictures if anyone is interested. AMSOIL is also associated with the Mack truck that ran 500,000 miles on ONE SINGLE oil change and had the engine disassembled and analyzed by a 3rd party with unreal results.

The air filters have shown huge performance gains compared to the paper, wet gauze and even K&N-type filters. AMSOIL does a HUGE amount of testing and 3rd party comparison analysis on their products to make sure they are at the top of their field in what products they are providing.

I can have products shipped straight to your house, or, in the event of bulk group orders and such, I can likely get a rep I know to deliver me the items and I can ship them for the CHEAPEST possible rates. I would totally be willing to work with you on how and where you wanted this stuff shipped.

Check out the website here >>> http://www.amsoil.com/index.aspx

If you want to know/learn more, I would be willing to talk to you about whatever necessary and/or send you in-depth literature/analysis of the products being discussed.

Let me know if you have any questions at all!

PS - I am about to change virtually every fluid in my vehicle, along with my air and oil filters, to these AMSOIL products...just in case you think I am selling something I don't support.

I use Amsoil in the final drive on my bike. Been running it since the very first final gear service around 12K miles, I've now got 26K on the bike. I now change the final drive oil every 3 or 6k miles (depends on how lazy I'm feeling). It always comes out looking great and very little shavings on the drain bolt magnet - granted service intervals are around 8k miles?? Either way, always looks great and runs great.

    I support this slippery stuff

That's awesome! Good to hear from someone on here who can vouch for it.

I've heard nothing but good things about Amsoil. I will definitely be hitting you up when I get my next oil change on the bike.

I'm still on the fence between running ENEOS or Amsoil in my Civic. Overkill, maybe, but I don't put nearly enough miles on the car a year to care about how much my oil costs.

I'd be glad to send you some literature for pennies on the dollar that show some in depth studies with the oil, if you haven't already seen some of the analyses they've done with comparison oils, which you may very well have.

I promise you won't be disappointed though. Let me know if you decide or want any info.

    Very nice.

My guy is delivering all the stuff I ordered tomorrow. Motor oil, rearend gear oil, oil filter, performance improver, and engine flush, so it should be a good day.

what kind of pricing are we talking about here? I actually have no idea how much amsoil goes for (never seen it in the wild so to speak) but I hear it's the shit.

Depends which product you are asking about, but their top of the line motor oil (Synthetic Series 0W-30) runs 10.50 a quart.

But remember, that is with a 35,000 mile/1 year oil change cycle (which is warrantied).

Feel free to ask for pricing on any specific applications or products, along with recommendations, etc.

    I checked out the site.

Is it true that switching over to synthetic is a bad idea if you don't do it from the start?

I have a 94 Mustang with 24k on it. I drive like 20k a year and I like the car. I want to get a good amount of miles out of it. I might want to switch over to synthetic.

    What do you think?

Any specific recommendations? Right now I am just running Valvoline and the Motorcraft filters.

I will be hitting you up later this summer. The Edsel is going to get it's engine and trans rebuilt and I want to keep it nice and healthy. You guys actually have filters for the old 361 BBF too

If you have run a ton of miles on conventional oil, you "supposedly" can have possible issues because your seals and all have become used to the consistency, viscosity, etc. of that oil, but I don't fully believe that. I have heard of a lot of cars that used conventional off the lot and now run synthetic. With the technology that there is in synthetics, specifically Amsoil, I really would never run conventional oil in a vehicle that sees a lot of miles.

For short, no, I know of no ill effects that can come simply from running synthetic instead of conventional, as far as engine functioning goes.

Amsoil filters, on top of how good the oil is, are made of much better synthetic materials that trap particulates MUCH paper than paper and your run-of-the-mill auto parts store filters.

To be honest, you can run the best oil in the world (which just may be this oil) and use mediocre filters, etc., and not be maximizing the benefits you could be seeing from the oil.

This I can agree with. Had an FS-2500 system on my truck.

    Sorry Jared.
